In 2023, NRMA Insurance announced its sponsorship of South Australian McGrath Breast Care Nurse, Kate Williams for three years.
NRMA Insurance Chief Customer and Marketing Officer Michelle Klein said: “We are proud to continue our support of the McGrath Foundation by funding a second McGrath Breast Care Nurse, this time to help people impacted by breast cancer in Newcastle and surrounding suburbs.
“We have seen firsthand the incredible impact Kate Williams has had in her community in South Australia. From diagnosis right throughout treatment, McGrath Breast Care Nurses help individuals and their families free of charge. This support is invaluable and importantly gives people time in their lives that is not defined by breast cancer.”
The vital funds were raised during the NRMA Insurance Pink Test’s Jane McGrath Day on the 5 January 2024. Cricket fans who took part in the NRMA Insurance Pitch-In activation played a part in the fundraising as every hit equated to a $1 donation from NRMA Insurance. On top of that for every NRMA Insurance policy sold on the 5 January, NRMA Insurance donated $100 to the McGrath Foundation.
NRMA Insurance is committed to supporting the McGrath Foundation and helping Australians impacted by breast cancer. McGrath currently has 204 McGrath Breast Care Nurses who help individuals and their families experiencing breast cancer.
