Deadly careers
IAG wants to make a valuable contribution to all communities in Australia and New Zealand. To do that we recognise that we must start with our countries' First Peoples.
In Australia, a significant part of our Indigenous engagement strategy is our Stretch Reconciliation Action Plan – helping us to strengthen our focus and commitment to a fair, equitable and opportunity-rich workplace and community.
We also acknowledge Tāngata Whenua in Aotearoa (NZ) and are committed to growing Māori prosperity and well-being in Aotearoa through our He Rautaki Māori (IAG’s Māori Strategy).
Indigenous career opportunities with IAG
IAG employs over 11,500 people in Australia and has a presence in all states and territories. We’re always looking for talented people to come work with us.
We create long terms careers for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples that support people, business and communities, and encourage and welcome applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples who are interested in working for and taking the next step in their career with IAG.
We offer:
- Targeted attraction, development and retention initiatives, led by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander specialists
- Cultural safety at all levels and across all business divisions
- Commercial investment in Indigenous partnerships and scholarships.
Career opportunities
All current opportunities at IAG can be found on our Careers site.
We’re proud to work with CareerTrackersTM, a university internship program, where Indigenous university students receive a paid internship in corporate Australia during the university breaks.
Each year IAG welcomes CareerTrackersTM interns who work across different areas of our business and are mentored and guided by our team leaders. The program allows students to gain exposure to a corporate working environment, where they learn transferable skills to help their transition into the workforce once they have finished their studies.
