IAG welcomes the opportunity to comment on some of the issues raised and questions set out in the Statutory Review of the Motor Dealers and Repairers Act 2013 – Discussion paper.

IAG does not support the expansion of the Motor Dealers and Repairers Act 2013 to further regulate the insurance and motor vehicle repair industries. In New South Wales, these industries operate within a robust regulatory framework that extends well beyond the requirements in the Act.
