Submission on making insurance claims handling a financial service

IAG welcomes the opportunity to make a submission to the exposure draft legislation and regulations and explanatory materials to the Exposure Draft to implement Recommendation 4.8 of the Final Report of the Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry to make handling and settling an insurance claim, or potential insurance claim, a ‘financial service’ under the Corporations Act 2001.
