IAG appreciates the opportunity to comment on the Australian Building Codes Board National Construction Code 2022 draft.

We believe strong building codes protect communities. Where we build and how those buildings are constructed is key to minimising the impact of natural hazards both now and in the future.

Improving community resilience to natural hazards starts with a strong building code that prioritises lives as well as resilient homes, buildings, and infrastructure.
