Helping Australia's precious wildlife
One of the most heartbreaking parts of the bushfires has been the impact on our wildlife and their habitats.
We believe every home is worth protecting, so last year our brand NRMA Insurance partnered with two important organisations – Port Macquarie Koala Hospital and Conservation Volunteers Australia – to help one of Australia’s most loved animals, the koala.
Together with our partners we are focused on protecting koala homes. We’re helping koalas in need after the bushfire crisis through a donation to Port Macquarie Koala Hospital.
We’re also planting trees to help create and preserve koala homes in partnership with Conservation Volunteers Australia. In 2019 we planted more than 60,000 trees.
In November we created an ad with an important message for all Australians – as we support our customers through the bushfires we can see our wildlife is also in need of help.
On top of our contribution, actor Sam Neill and our NRMA advertising partners The Monkeys, Song Zu and Fin all donated their fees for this ad to the Port Macquarie Koala Hospital too.
After this bushfire crisis we know that these partnerships are more important than ever.
